A PCB Design Engineer is responsible for creating the intricate layouts of printed circuit boards that form the backbone of various electronic devices. Requirements

Responsabilities

- Identify and resolve design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) issues
- Interface with PCB manufacturers and suppliers for technical queries and clarifications
- Document design processes, decisions, and changes thoroughly
- Execute design changes from testing, validation, and production feedback
- Ensure design compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Participate in design review meetings and provide constructive feedback
- Manage design files and revisions using version control systems
- Address and troubleshoot issues during PCB prototyping and production
- Utilize CAD tools for designing complex, multi-layer, and high-density PCBs

- Create and optimize PCB layouts based on electrical schematics and physical constraints
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure design requirements are met
- Perform signal integrity analysis and simulations using EDA tools
- Generate and review Gerber files and other manufacturing outputs
- Develop and maintain PCB design libraries, including footprints and symbols
- Validate design requirements and constraints with cross-functional teams
- Conduct design verification and debugging activities to ensure functional prototypes
- Review and resolve DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test) issues
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to address design-related questions
- Update and maintain documentation for all PCB designs and revisions
- Implement design changes based on feedback from testing and validation
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to other team members
