This role involves monitoring market conditions, assessing potential financial risks, and developing strategies to minimize those risks. Using financial models and risk management tools, a Treasury Risk Analyst provides insights that help guide corporate decisions, ensuring the organization maintains liquidity, complies with regulations, and optimizes financial performance. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial markets and instruments.

Responsabilities

A Treasury Risk Analyst is responsible for continuously monitoring financial markets to assess the impact on the organization’s cash flow and investments. They undertake detailed analyses of market trends, interest rates, foreign exchange rates, and commodity prices to identify potential risks. This involves developing and maintaining financial models to forecast various risk scenarios, evaluating the effectiveness of existing risk management strategies, and recommending adjustments to mitigate identified risks. Additionally, they collaborate with other financial teams to ensure that all financial activities adhere to the company's risk management framework and regulatory requirements.

Another critical responsibility is to provide regular and ad-hoc risk assessment reports to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring they are well-informed about potential financial exposures and the measures taken to address them. The Treasury Risk Analyst also plays a pivotal role in liquidity management, making sure the organization has sufficient funds to meet its operational and strategic needs. Furthermore, they may be involved in negotiating with financial institutions to secure favorable terms for financing or investment products, aimed at optimizing the company's financial performance while minimizing risk.
