Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of the company's cost structures, identifying areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring they align with the company's financial goals and objectives.
  • Implement cost control measures to manage and monitor expenses, including variance analysis and reporting.
  • Oversee and optimize inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate valuation and timely reconciliations.
  • Calculate and maintain accurate product costs, including standard costs, and assist in pricing decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to support management in making informed decisions.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciling cost accounts and ensuring accuracy in financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls to streamline operations and enhance accuracy.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and provide support to management for special projects and initiatives.

Cost Accountant Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role in a manufacturing or production-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
