Description

A Supplier Quality Lead is responsible for ensuring that products and materials sourced from suppliers meet the required quality standards before they are integrated into the production process. This role involves conducting thorough assessments and audits of supplier facilities, developing quality improvement plans, and collaborating closely with suppliers to address any discrepancies or defects. The Supplier Quality Lead plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of the supply chain, mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and reliability for the company.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field

- Review and evaluate supplier quality performance metrics and reports
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier facilities for compliance with quality standards
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement quality improvement plans
- Analyze supplier quality issues and work with internal teams to resolve them
- Coordinate and lead supplier quality review meetings
- Develop and maintain supplier quality documentation and records
- Provide training and guidance to suppliers on quality requirements and expectations
- Ensure suppliers are adhering to regulatory and industry standards
- Monitor and track the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) taken by suppliers
- Assist in the qualification and approval of new suppliers and materials
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting supplier quality
- Prepare and present supplier quality status reports to management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supplier quality process
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints related to supplier quality issues
- Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to ensure supplier quality impacts are considered in new product development
- Review and approve supplier quality agreements and specifications
