Responsabilities

As a Demand Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for accurately forecasting customer demand by analyzing various data sources such as market trends, sales history, and inventory levels. This involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, and finance departments to gather relevant data and ensure that demand forecasts are aligned with business goals. You will also be tasked with creating and maintaining demand planning reports and tools that provide visibility into demand trends, helping stakeholders make informed decisions. Your role includes continuously monitoring forecast accuracy and adjusting plans as needed to adapt to changing market conditions and customer requirements.

In addition to forecasting demand, you will work closely with supply chain and production teams to develop inventory strategies that balance supply with anticipated demand. Recommended studies/certifications

Preferred qualifications for a Demand Planning Coordinator include a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS. Additionally, coursework in statistics, data analysis, and operations management can prove beneficial. Proficiency in demand forecasting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data visualization tools, are often required. Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is also advantageous, as it facilitates more effective data management and planning.
