Vice President of Finance Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategic financial planning. The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy, managing financial resources, and ensuring the company's financial health. 

This position is ideal for a seasoned finance executive who can provide strong leadership and contribute to the achievement of our financial goals.

• Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including long-term financial planning, capital allocation, and financial goal-setting.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to create comprehensive budgets. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide regular forecasts and financial reports.
• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and financial reporting. Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions, accounts reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks that could impact the organization's financial stability. Implement internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets and data.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders. This includes financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key financial metrics.
• Audit and Compliance: Manage external audits and work with auditors to ensure a thorough and accurate audit process. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial-related statutory requirements.
• Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with other departments to evaluate the financial impact of strategic decisions, projects, and initiatives. Provide financial insights and analysis to support the organization's growth and sustainability.
• Team Leadership: Typically, a VP of Finance leads a team of finance professionals, including accountants, financial analysts, and financial managers. They provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA is a plus.
