- Monitor and analyze sales data to forecast future demand trends
- Develop and update demand forecasts using statistical models and data analysis tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to gather input and insights for demand planning
- Identify and analyze discrepancies between actual sales and forecasted demand, providing recommendations for adjustments
- Prepare and present detailed demand reports and insights to key stakeholders
- Manage and update demand planning software and databases with current data
- Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends and their impact on demand
- Track and analyze promotional activities and their effect on product demand
- Work closely with inventory management teams to ensure optimal stock levels based on demand forecasts
- Participate in regular review meetings to discuss demand planning performance and improvements
- Support the development and execution of demand planning strategies to support overall business goals
- Communicate regularly with suppliers and customers to obtain updates on product availability and upcoming demand changes
- Assist in the development and refinement of demand planning processes and methodologies
- Identify potential risks in demand forecasts and develop mitigation plans
