Description

A Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in agile project management, guiding teams through the Scrum framework to ensure successful delivery of products and services. They act as facilitators, helping teams adopt and implement agile practices while removing obstacles that hinder productivity. Scrum Masters foster a collaborative environment, enabling continuous improvement and high performance by facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. They also serve as the bridge between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals and objectives.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Proven experience in facilitating and leading Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)

Responsabilities

- Facilitate daily Scrum stand-up meetings and encourage active participation from all team members
- Coordinate and lead sprint planning sessions
- Hold sprint review meetings to present completed work and gather stakeholder feedback
- Conduct sprint retrospectives to identify areas for improvement
- Remove impediments and blockers hindering team progress
- Assist Product Owner in maintaining a prioritized product backlog
- Foster a collaborative and transparent team environment
- Ensure adherence to Agile principles and practices
- Track and measure team performance using relevant metrics
- Coach team members on Agile frameworks and Scrum principles
- Serve as liaison between the development team and external stakeholders
- Shield the team from external distractions and unplanned work
- Manage risks and issues to mitigate impacts on deliverables
- Ensure timely communication and coordination across teams
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for skill enhancement
- Support high-quality standards in product development
- Advocate for process improvements for efficiency and productivity
- Maintain clear documentation of team processes and decisions

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Scrum Master role will be a proactive and self-motivated professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, complemented by a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
