Description

A Tax Preparer is a professional responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses. They ensure that clients comply with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, while aiming to maximize tax benefits and minimize liabilities. This role involves gathering financial information, identifying applicable deductions and credits, and staying informed about changes in tax laws. Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Certification as an Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Tax Preparer certification
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in tax preparation or a related accounting field
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations
