- Communicate with clients to explain tax regulations and answer queries
- Maintain and update client records and files with accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
- Analyze financial statements and reports to identify tax-saving opportunities
- Prepare estimated tax payments and extensions as needed
- Coordinate with auditors and other external parties during tax audits
- Stay current with changes in tax regulations and industry standards
- Prepare for and participate in continuing education programs and training sessions
- Use tax software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax preparation
- Provide support in resolving client tax issues with tax authorities
- Assist with the preparation of tax provisions and related financial disclosures
- Review and verify documentation for tax credits and deductions
- Draft correspondence related to tax matters, including responses to IRS notices
- Participate in internal meetings to discuss tax strategies and client updates
- Support the senior tax team in various ad hoc projects and initiatives
