- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize cash flow
- Advise senior management and business units on tax implications of business decisions
- Conduct detailed tax research and stay informed about industry developments
- Prepare and manage tax projections, estimates, and accruals
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors for accurate and timely tax filings
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
- Analyze and implement tax-saving opportunities within the business
- Conduct tax planning reviews to identify potential tax risks and opportunities
- Assist in structuring mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions from a tax perspective
- Ensure all tax-related deadlines are met
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on tax-related issues
- Prepare documentation for tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as required
- Continuously improve tax processes and systems for enhanced efficiency
