Description

A Procurement Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing an organization's procurement processes to ensure the acquisition of goods and services in a cost-effective and timely manner. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and maintaining vendor relationships. The Procurement Lead ensures compliance with company policies and regulations, monitors market trends, and seeks opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. With strong analytical and negotiation skills, they collaborate with various departments to support the organization's strategic objectives and operational needs.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and procurement principles

Responsabilities

- Identify and select vendors and suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand and meet material and service requirements
- Place orders for goods and services ensuring timely delivery
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality or inconsistencies
- Analyze market trends to identify potential supply risks or opportunities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals
- Manage procurement budgets and forecast spending
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in all procurement activities
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance to senior management
- Collaborate with finance and accounting departments on invoicing and payment issues
- Continuously evaluate the supply chain to recommend improvements and cost-saving measures
- Support the development and maintenance of strong supplier relationships
- Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project timelines
- Develop and train junior procurement staff and other relevant personnel as necessary
- Participate in regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure ongoing quality and service standards
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in procurement processes
